GEN-01 SCOUT CENTRE KOCAALI 18.05 - 31.05  RENO    10
The lovely seaside town Kocaali by the Black Sea coast will host an international group who will help to a skilled person to do the different tasks in order to prepare the centre for the summer activities.
W : Painting the inside and outside walls, repairing the roof, cleaning the beach of the scout centre on the beach. A: At the centre's dormitories with bathroom and toilet. (Hot shover is not available). Sleeping bag and mat are not necessary.  F: Will be served at the centre .  LA : English.  LO : Kocaali is in the north-west of Turkey.  Next city is Sakarya.

The metropolitan Municipality of Istanbul is running consecutive camps for the handicapped people in a campsite by the seaside. For the daily running and the social activities of the camp some outside help is needed.
W: Serving the food to the handicapped people during meal times, organising social activities for the handicapped people, doing the other daily tasks of the site like environmental cleaning, assisting the people for the outdoor trips, etc. A: In the tents at the camp site. Tents, mattresses, blankets will be supplied.  F: Will be served at the site. Volunteers will eat after the camp participants. LA: English. LO: Istanbul.
 

GEN-03 TEACH CAMP-1 KOCAALI  01.06 - 15.06  EDUC  10
The scout centre that will be renovated by the volunteers of the GEN-01 camp will accommodate 50 local youngsters with 10 international volunteers for practising English.
Q: No teaching experience is necessary, but volunteers with a good level of English and experience of working with children and teenagers, who can teach songs, outdoor and indoor games will be preferred. Applicants should send a motivation letter for this project.
W: To practise English with local kids which is a challenging task as it may last long hours with less free times A: In the dormitory of the scout centre, by sharing the rooms with the kids who will stay there during the camp. Sleeping bag and mat are not necessary. The rooms have toilet and showers inside but hot shower is not available. F: Will be served at the centre .  LA : English.  LO : Kocaali is in the north-west of Turkey.  Next city is Sakarya.
 

GEN-04 SCOUT CENTRE-2  DORTYOL 15.06 - 30.06 RENO    10
Dortyol is a big town by the Mediterranean Sea coast where the national scout groups are hosted during the summer at a sea side training centre. The rough sea destroyed the outside walls and even the play grounds in last winter. The volunteers are expected to repair the destroyed volleyball and basketball grounds.
W : Laying sands on the ground and making any other type of repairing work at the centre. A: In the supplied tents. You can bring your own bed sheet, sleeping bag or tent if you want privacy. F: Will be served at the centre.         LA : English.  LO : Dortyol is in the south east of Turkey, not far from the Syrian border.  Next city is Hatay.

GEN-05 CENTRAL VILLAGE  MESUDIYE 01.07 - 15.07     CONS   15
Turkkoyu is a central village where the children of the surrounding villages come for the primary education. The garden of the new school needs to be developed.  This task will be done by the international volunteers. W: Development work in the garden, making path ways, playgrounds, green lawns and a sport field. A: In the school building. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary. F: Will be supplied in the school. LA:English LO: Mesudiye is a town in the north-east of Turkey. The next city is Ordu by the Black Sea coast.
 

GEN-07 CARPET VILLAGE  MILAS  08 .07 -  22.07 RENO    15
Karacahisar is a traditional village famous for hand made carpets. Volunteers will have a chance to learn carpet weaving in their free times while enjoying the village life. W : Painting the school, village centre and the guesthouse. A: In the school building. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary. F. Volunteers will cook for their own by the given materials. LA : English  LO: Karacahisar village is in the south west of Turkey. Next town is Milas, next city is Mugla.
 

GEN-08  FESTIVAL  ABANA 17.07 - 31.07 FEST  15
Abana is a lovely sea side town where 4 times of its population is hosted by the locals during the art, culture and sea games festival.  Several concerts, activities and contests will be held during the fest. The international volunteers will help to the municipal staff for the preparation and the organisation of the festival and the environmental cleaning after the festival. This is a full of fun but hard working project.
W: Festival preparation & organisation. A: In the guest house of the town. Sleeping bag and mat are not necessary. F: Will be served in different restaurants. LA: English, a little Turkish will be helpful but not necessary. LO: Abana is in the north west of Turkey. Next city is Kastamonu.
 

GEN-09 VILLAGE HOUSES  SAPANCA 20.07 - 03.08 RENO 15
Sapanca is a nice, calm town by a lake. A nearby Fevziye village will velcome the international volunteers for bettering the face of the village. W: Painting the facades of the village houses. A: In the school building. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary. F: Will be cooked by the volunteers. LA: English. LO: Sapanca is in the east of Istanbul. The next city is Sakarya.
 

GEN-11 ARTS & KIDS KOCAELI  25.07 - 08.08 ARTS 15
Association of Graduates of Kocaeli city, is organizing several activities for the kids at their centre. This year they ask an outside help to run these activities together with local volunteers. Activities like drama, photography, handicrafts, drawing, painting, sculpturing, music, indoor-outdoor games, practising English etc. are held. Any volunteer talented on the above mentioned fields are welcome. W: Organizing different activities for the kids. A: In a student dormitory. F: Will be served at the caf? of the association. LA: English. LO : Kocaeli is the next city to Istanbul on the east.

GEN-12 WEDDING HALL YORUKLER  29.07 - 12.08  RENO  15
Yorukler town has got an uncompleted wedding hall. The roof is not finished yet and the walls to be painted. W: Painting the inside and outside walls of the town's  wedding hall. A: In a dormitory, sleeping bag and mat are not necessary. F: Will be served at the dormitory. LA: English  LO: Yroukler is at the north of Turkey, not far from the Black Sea coast. Next city is Samsun.
 

GEN-13 FRANCO CAMP ACARLAR 01.08 - 15.08 RENO   15
Acarlar is a small town among the fig fields and already hosted a workcamp 2 years ago and now wants to have a new group. W: Building a park. A: In the guest house of the town. Sleeping bag and mat are not necessary. F: Volunteers will cook for the group by the given materials. LA: French.  LO: Acarlar is in the south west of Turkey. Next town is Incirliova.
 

GEN-14   ART CAMP    FETHIYE 03.08 - 17.08  ARTS     15
This is a suitable camp for amateur or skilled artists but also open for creative people who are interested in photography, sculpture, graphic, drawing, painting and handicrafts. People who like to share experience and learn from each other are welcome. Sight seeing tours, excursions, dia shows may be organized during the workshops. W : No manual work. Workshops will be held in the fields of arts mentioned above. A : Under tents. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary.                   F: Volunteers will cook their own food by using the given materials.  LA : English.   LO : Fethiye is by the south Aegean Sea coast. The camp site Kayakoy is a small village and an ancient Greek settlement. Fee : An extra fee of USD 300.- will be charged on arrival to cover the cost of accommodation, food, and materials.

GEN-15  OLD SCHOOL PAZARCIK    05.08 - 19.08 RENO    15
The old school of Evri Village needs to be renovated completely. The roof should be replaced, paints must be renewed, frames of the doors and windows must be changed. There is a lot of work to make the school have a better looking.  Anybody who likes the traditional village life should give a hand here.
W: Renovating the school of the village. A : In the school building, sleeping bag and mat are necessary. F: Will be cooked by the volunteers. LA: English. LO: Pazarcik is in the north-east of the Mediterranean Province. The next city is Kahraman Maras.
 
 

GEN-16   NIPPON CAMP PAYAS 09.08 -  23.08 ENVI 15
If you want to practice your Japanese in an international group this camp is tailor made for you. The Turkish-Japanese bilateral work camp is also open for international volunteers who likes to improve their Japanese. The camp site is a big town but the work site is in the nature and 6 km. away from the town centre.              W: Making a picnic ground, clearing the vegetation, levelling the surface, making path ways. A: In a school dormitory. Sleeping bag and mat are not necessary.  F: Will be served in the school. LA: Japanese. LO: Payas is in the south of Turkey, near to Syrian border. Next city is Hatay.
 
 

GEN-17  FAR EAST  BASKALE  08.08 - 23.08 RENO  15
This camp is the most far point in our program, located near the Iranian border of Turkey.  Baskale is a town on high mountains. W: Building a garden wall around a primary school. A: In teacher's guest house. Sleeping bag and mat are not necessary. F: Will be supplied at the guest house.  LA : English. LO: Baskale is in the south east of Turkey, next city is Van.
P.S.: Due to the its long distance, the departure to the camp site is on the second day, on 09.08.2002, early in the morning. Thus volunteers should spend 1 night in Istanbul at a cost of USD 10.-.

GEN-18 CHURCH PATH CAPPADOCIA 12.08 -  26.08 RENO  15
Soganli Village have several churches carved in the rocks in Cappadocia Region. As they are located on the hills, the visitors can hardly reach them. Thus paths and stairs are needed to ease climbing. W: Rebuilding the stairs and organize pathways to the churches.  A: In a dormitory in the next town Yesilhisar. Sleeping bag and mat are not necessary. F: Breakfast and dinners will be served at the dormitory building. Lunches as packed at the site.  LA: English. LO:  Yesilhisar is a town of Kayseri Province and Soganli Village is at the edge of Cappadocia Valley in central Anatolia.
 

GEN-19    GREEN PARK ZEYTINLI 15.08 - 30  .08 RENO    15
The traditional town Zeytinli becomes a touristy place during every summer by accepting a lot of visitors. A group of volunteers built up a park for the town last year and the mayor invites a new group for this year as well. W: Building a park and creating new green area in the town. A: In the guesthouse of the municipality.  Sleeping bag and mat are not necessary.  F: Will be cooked by the volunteers at the guesthouse. LA: English. LO: Zeytinli is by the north of Aegean Sea coast. Next town is Edremit.
 

GEN-21 GARLIC FESTIVAL  TASKOPRU     27.08 - 10.09  ARTS  15
As the main producer of garlic, Taskopru town hosts an international Garlic Festival every year with the participation of thousands of native and  foreign visitors. Several activities like folk dances, horse races, handycraft exhibitions, cooking contest etc. are held during the festival. This year the group of international volunteers will add a different colour to the festival by painting a mural in the town centre. Volunteers with drawing skill are especially welcome. Photographers are also invited to make pictures of the town.  Their work will be exhibited at the festival. W: Drawing a picture on a wall describing the town and making photographs for an exhibition. A: In a dormitory. F: Will be supplied at the dormitory. LA:English. LO: Taskopru is in the inner Black Sea Region in the north of Turkey. Next city is Kastamonu.
GEN-22  PARKS HATAY  31.08 - 14.09 RENO  15
Kucukdalyan is a growing town where the mayor is trying to develop the living conditions. The international volunteers will work for this task.
W: Environmental development works in a park  and making pavements. A: In a building, sleeping bag and mat are necessary. F: Will be prepared by the volunteers. LA: English. LO: Kucukdalyan is a side town of Hatay province.

GEN-24 AFFOREST  SOKE   01.11 - 15.11 AGRI 20
Soke is a big town with a population of 73.000, not far from the world famous Ephessus Antic City . The mayor is keen of creating a greener surrounding. Thus the town likes to host a group of international volunteers to plant trees on a near by hill. W: Planting trees. A: In a dormitory. F:Will be served at the dormitory. LA: English  LO: Soke is in the south-west of Turkey. Next city is Izmir.
 
 

GEN-LTC ALTERNATIVE CAMP BODRUM 01.05 - 30.09 SOCI    15

Alternative camp is a place for handicapped people both psychical and mental and people with special needs of all kinds. Here all kind of sport programs, social, educational and training activities are held. Thus it is a very challenging and hard work. One can start any time and minimum stay is a month and longer stays are appreciated. Volunteers are expected to assist all manual and social work organized at the camp. You can also develop new activities depending on your talents. Volunteers will be trained as dive-buddies for handicapped people with the standard of HSA (Handicapped Scuba Association).  Candidates should have a strong motivation to work with handicapped people and write a motivation letter including their experience (if any) and will to be a part of a hard working team. No previous experience is necessary but a good mood, good will is essential.

W: Serving and assisting the handicapped people in their daily life at the camp site, assisting the instructors during sport activities and courses, organizing and running social activities, manual work concerning reparations, gardening, cleaning, leading groups for trekking  and biking.  A: Either in triple rooms with bathroom or in tents. If you want you can bring your own tent.  Q: Volunteers talented on sports, indoor  & outdoor activities, music, drama, fine arts, swimming and diving, handicrafts will be preferred. F: Will be served at the centre. LA: English, German, Italian. Turkish might be helpful but not necessary. LO : Bodrum ,is in the south west of Turkey by the Aegean Sea coast.

GSM-Youth Services Centre

GSM01 BO?AZ??? / ?STANBUL  13 - 28/07   ENVI/RENO 20 vols

WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in the cleaning of the university groove and some practical environmental work and in addition they will be doing some renovation and painting work in the campus area. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.

ACCOMODATION & FOOD: in the student dormitory / food will be provided in the cafeteria.

LOCATION: Istanbul is the only city in the world built on two continents. It is a province designed to be the capital of three empires. Today it is possible to see the precious remains of these civilizations, standing with glamour and mysticism as a harmonious link between East and West, past and present, antique and modern. Bogazici University is at the very center of Istanbul with its excellent view of Bosphorus.

GSM02 BORNOVA / IZMIR 13 - 28/07   CONS   20 vols

PARTNER: We have been organizing workcamps with Bornova Municipality since 1994. Bornova is the biggest municipalities of Izmir with its famous palm trees and International Theatre Festival.

WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in the construction of a public park and some painting work. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.

ACCOMODATION & FOOD: student dormitory / food will be provided in a restaurant.

LOCATION: Bornova, with its beautiful palm trees is a neighborhood of Izmir, which is the 3rd biggest city of Turkey. Izmir's long history dates back to the age of Legendary Homer. This region is very well known with the ancient cities like Efes (Ephesus), Eskihisar (Laodicea), Alasehir (Philadelphia), Sart (Sardis), Akhisar (Thyatira), Bergama (Pergamum) and the famous Virgin Mary Church.

GSM03 AVCILAR / ISTANBUL  20/07 - 04/08 ENVI/RENO 20 vols

PARTNER: We have been organizing workcamps in cooperation with ?stanbul University since 1999. In order to have more information about the university please visit: www.istanbul.edu.tr

WORK: The work will be organized by both Istanbul University and Avcilar Municipality. During the camp the volunteers will take part in some practical renovation and environmental work within the Avcilar Campus of Istanbul University and in the province of Avcilar. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.

ACCOMODATION & FOOD: in the student dormitory / food will be provided in the cafeteria.

LOCATION: Istanbul is the only city in the world built on two continents. It is a province designed to be the capital of three empires. Today it is possible to see the precious remains of these civilizations, standing with glamour and mysticism as a harmonious link between East and West, past and present, antique and modern. Istanbul University is the one of the biggest universities of Istanbul and it has many campuses all around Istanbul. The workcamp will take place in Avcilar Campus, which is 50 minutes to Istanbul city center by public transportation.

GSM04 GOLBASI / ANKARA  20/07 - 04/08 ENVI/MENT 20 vols
PARTNER: We have been organizing workcamps in cooperation with Mentally Disabled Children Education and Protection Foundation since 2001. This foundation aims the education of mentally disabled children and adults and making them compatible and beneficial to the public as well as to themselves. WORK: The students of the foundation will be in the center during the workcamp. The volunteers will attend the morning classes of the students and they will be assisting the teachers in playing games, drawing pictures and social activities with the students. In the afternoons the volunteers will take part in some practical environmental work in the garden. There will be an orientation session on the first day of the camp about the work in the classroom. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.

LOCATION: Ankara, the capital city is the living witness of establishment of Turkish Republic. Today's modern city, situated at the core of Anatolia, hides an ancient site behind, dating back even to prehistorical times. The remains from Urartian, Phrygian and Hittite periods have beautified the area here, now fascinating the visitors by enlivening the respective periods. The foundation is located in Golbasi, suburb of Ankara. Golbasi sits by Lake Mogan and it is 50 minutes far away from the city center.

GSM05 BADEMLER / IZMIR  27/07 - 11/08 CONS  20 vols
PARTNER: We have been organizing workcamps in cooperation with Bademler Village and Culture and Art Association of Bademler Village since 2000.
WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in the construction of a park in the village. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: family stay / food will be provided by the host families
LOCATION: Bademler Village is one of the most interesting village in Turkey, with its culture and very typical customs. It is 10kms to Urla and 60kms to Izmir. In 1969 the theatre hall of the village was constructed and up today all the inhabitants are very much interested in theatre both as audiences and actors. During the day inhabitants are working in the farms and greenhouses but in the evenings most of them become one of the actors on stage. This village is also famous for its very typical wedding ceremonies and "Sea Festival" during which all the village goes to the seaside and spend one or two days under the tents. This festival does not have proper dates; it depends on the locals willing.

GSM06 ALACATI/IZMIR  27/07 - 11/08 ENVI / RENO 20 vols

WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in the renovation of the public parks and some practical environmental work in the town. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: in a camp house / self catering
LOCATION: Alacati is situated on Cesme Peninsula, which forms the Gulf of Izmir. Alacati (Alacati, Agrilya), a Mediterranean town on the Western coast of Turkey, which has been famous for its architecture, vineyards and windmills for over 150 years, has now made its name in the world of windsurfing. It is known as the Turkish Riviera, with crystal clear water, consistent and steady wind (for an average of 300 days a year). It is about 70kms to Izmir.

WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in the cleaning of the university groove and some practical environmental work in the campus area. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.

LOCATION: Ankara, the capital city is the living witness of establishment of Turkish Republic. GSM08 AVANOS/NEVSEHIR  10 - 25/08  ENVI/RENO 20 vols
PARTNER: We have been organizing workcamps in cooperation with Avanos Municipality since 1992. In order to have more information about Avanos Municipality please visit: www.cappadociaavanos.com
WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in renovation of the public parks of the town in addition they will be participating in some painting work. Also they will have the chance of joining the pottery workshop organized by the local artists. Volunteers will be working 5 hours a day and there will be no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: in a camp house / food will be provided in a restaurant
LOCATION: Cappadocia has one of the most interesting and spectacular landscapes in the world. The natural effects of wind, water and rain eroded this area into a surrealist landscape of rock caves, capped pinnacles and fretted ravines in colors ranging from warm tones of red and gold to cool tones of green and gray. In this beautiful region there stands most attractive town of Avanos, famous for its handicrafts, especially pottery. Beside these it is possible to taste famous wine of the region.

GSM09 TUZLUKCU / KONYA  10 - 25/08 ENVI/RENO  20 vols
PARTNER: This is the first time that we organize a workcamp in cooperation with Tuzlukcu Municipality. The inhabitants are very motivated to host such an international event in their small town.
WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take place in the renovation of the public parks and some practical environmental work in the school gardens. It is a good opportunity for the volunteers to taste the rural and village life of Central Anatolia. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: guest house / cafeteria
LOCATION: Konya, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities, ranks as one of the great cultural centers of Turkey. Cultural and philosophical growth, the mystic Mevlana, known as the Whirling Dervishes has lived and spread his thoughts in/from Konya. Mausoleum of Mevlana is one of the most famous places in Konya. Tuzlukcu, 2 hours away from Konya, is a typical Central Anatolian village with its traditions, people and village life. It is welcoming the visitors with its wedding ceremonies, hospitable inhabitants, traditional way of living.

GSM10 KADIKOY/ISTANBUL 17/08 - 01/09 ENVI/RENO  20 vols
PARTNER: This is the first time that we organize a workcamp in cooperation with KGM-Kadikoy Youth Center. The youth center is supported by Kadikoy Municipality.
WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in some practical renovation and environmental work in the youth center. They may be involved in the organization of the cultural and social activities of the center. They will also have the chance of participating in the workshops that the youth center organizes. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: in the gym hall of the center / food will be provided in a cafeteria
LOCATION: Istanbul is the only city in the world built on two continents. It is a province designed to be the capital of three empires. Today it is possible to see the precious remains of these civilizations, standing with glamour and mysticism as a harmonious link between East and West, past and present, antique and modern. Kadikoy Municipality and Kadikoy Youth Center are located in the Anatolian part of Istanbul. The youth center is on Kalamis one of the most beautiful beaches of Istanbul and it is at the very center of Anatolian part of Istanbul.

It is a good opportunity for the volunteers to taste the rural and village life of Mediterranean. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: dormitory / self catering
LOCATION: Located 165km far away from Mersin, one of the biggest cities and important port of Turkey, Mut surrounded by mountains and high plateaus. This region hosts Turkomans who still live with their old traditions in the high plateaus under the tents and most of them are not still settled down. This very typical Mediterranean village will welcome the volunteers by very interesting customs of Turkomans, wedding ceremonies, natural beauties, historical sites and hospitable inhabitants.

GSM12 MERSIN / MERSIN 24/08 - 08/09 ENVI/RENO  20 vols
PARTNER: This is the first time that we organize a workcamp in cooperation with Mersin Municipality. In order to have more information about the municipality and the region please visit:
WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in the renovation of the public parks. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: in the guest house / food will be provided in a restaurant
LOCATION: Mersin is one of the most modern provinces of the palm-lined avenues and a good base for visiting the nearby historical sites and beaches. It is also the largest port of Turkish Mediterranean. One may find all the comforts of a big city and all the characteristic of a Mediterranean city. Although Mersin dates only from the 19th century, it occupies extremely ancient sites.

GSM13 MILAS / MUGLA  24/08 - 08/09  RENO  20 vols
PARTNER: We have been organizing workcamps in cooperation with Milas Municipality since 1995.
WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in the renovation of public parks and the school gardens in the town. Volunteers will be working 5 hours a day and there will be no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: in a dormitory / food will be provided in a cafeteria
LOCATION: Milas, is one of the small towns of Mugla, which stands on Bodrum Peninsula and known to be the center of Carya Region. Heading inland, Milas greets you with its typical Turkish houses with carved timbers and latticed windows. Labranda, close to Milas is a site of the worship of Zeus. Ancient people must have chosen this spot in the high mountains as the closest place to Zeus.

GSM14 URLA / IZMIR  31/08 - 15/09  CONS  20 vols

WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in the construction of a public park in the town. Volunteers will be working 5 hours a day and there will be no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: in a guest house / food will be provided in a restaurant
LOCATION: Urla called as Clazomenea in the ancient times, is a peaceful place to visit and taste the natural and historical beauties of Cesme Peninsula. It is only 30 minutes to Izmir. Many historical places and natural beauties surround it such as, Cesme where you will see the perfect beaches, Kusadasi with its very live city life and deepest blue sea, Pergamum, Virgin Mary, Ephesus and etc...

GSM15 YILDIZ / ISTANBUL 31/08 - 15/09  ENVI  20 vols

WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in some environmental work in the campus are like plating trees, taking care of the special type of grass called "Ottoman Grass". They may also be involved in some painting work. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: in the student dormitory / food will be provided in the cafeteria.
LOCATION: Istanbul is the only city in the world built on two continents. It is a province designed to be the capital of three empires. Today it is possible to see the precious remains of these civilizations, standing with glamour and mysticism as a harmonious link between East and West, past and present, antique and modern. Yildiz Technical University Campus is located in Garden of Yildiz Palace, that's why in the campus it is possible to see very precious type of trees and flowers. It is also at the very center of Istanbul.

GSM16 DOGANCAYIR / ESKISEHIR 31/08 - 15/09 RENO  20 vols
PARTNER: This is the first time that we organize a workcamp in cooperation with Dogancayir Municipality. The inhabitants are very motivated to host such an international event in their small town.
WORK: During the camp the volunteers will take part in the renovation of the public parks. In addition, they will be involved in the painting the schools. It is a good opportunity for the volunteers to taste the rural life and village life of central Anatolia. Volunteers will work 5 hours a day and there is no work at the weekends.
ACCOMODATION & FOOD: guest house / self catering
LOCATION: Eskisehir is the one of the oldest settlements in Central Anatolia. One may come across with the ruins of Phrygians, Ottomans and etc. Now it becomes the student city because of Anadolu University. Dogancayir is one of the typical Anatolian villages situated not far away from Eskisehir. This small village will welcome you with the real village life with the smiling inhabitants, traditional wedding ceremonies, farms, sun and yellowish colors.
