Biogradska
gora is a national park, which is placed in the north-west part of Montenegro.
Main characteristics of this park are a glacier lake which is placed in
the middle of the park and a primeval forest which extends through the
whole territory of the national park. It is necessary to emphasize that
over 50 plants which are growing at the national park are endemic species.
The final cause
of the camp is to help a watchman service to arrange the park, which is
at the same time a tourist attraction.
Help is based
on resolving the problems: garbage disposal around the lake, setting road
signs along a mountain path and preventing burning fire by campers.
Work: The job
that volunteers will be doing consists of: cleaning and aranging coasts
of Biogradsko lake, making and putting up road signs along paths
and in cooperation with park rangers to patrol the park and prevent people
from disturbing the ecological balance in park.
Accomodation:
In tents, which are provided. Shower cabines, toilets and kitchen will
be placed at mountain cottages near the camp.Volunteers will be cooking
by themselves and they will take care about cleanliness.

Durmitor is
a national park in the north part of Montenegro. With beautiful nature
this place is perfect for young artist to express themselves, and also
they can have peace for work in the nature. It is also a place where
you can meet traditional Montenegrin heritage. This area is famous in Montenegro
as a place of conservative people and very traditional way of life. Zabljak
is the only town in this area and there is exist few traditional Montenegrin
villages. The area of Durmitor is isolated and whiteout external influence,
and there are possibilities for lots of work with local people in cultural
or other ways. There is also opportunities for meeting with traditional
Montenegrin way of life, which only still exist in this place.
Work: Portraying
Montenegro from foreign young people's point of view. One of the topics,
in the artistic part of this camp will be collecting materials for a brochure
about the most traditional part of Montenegro. On the camp, volunteers
will have the opportunity to communicate with local people and to try to
make something together with young people from this region, because youngsters
in this area doesn't have opportunity to do such things even with people
from Montenegro. Another job is cleaning the coast of the Black lake in
the National park. In doing this vols will have support from local people
and also from park rangers service.
Accommodation:
In cottages in the village Tepce. Also exist possibility for accommodation
under the tents during visiting area of National park. Bathrooms and kitchen
will be also in this village, in one of the cottages. Volunteers will work
on cleaning and maintaining bathrooms and kitchen.
