Tools for Self Reliance which collects and refurbishes old hand-tools and
sends them to community groups and co-operatives in developing countries.

sharpening and renovating hand tools and sewing machines. There will also
be some practical repair and maintenance work on the TSFR buildings.
S: The workcamp will include study
sessions on development issues and on the situation in the countries receiving
the tools - particularly Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

your energy and initiative.

This workcamp is working with a 'living
history' project restoring an abandoned piece of land and farm buildings
to how they were hundreds of years ago.
W: This can involve work on the roofs
and rafters, laying stones, and work on the gardens, orchards and walls.
The workcamp will run in co-operation with a Forest School Camp.
S: Living history. (The site is sometimes
used for 'living history weeks' which are open to visitors and school groups).

Big Green Gathering, Cheddar, Somerset

This workcamp will be held on a large
farm near Cheddar which in July will host the Big Green Gathering, Europe's
largest ecological outdoor event. Help is required for pre-event work,
largely of a practical nature.
W: building small bridges over drainage
channels and other structures and generally assisting with site preparation,
painting and maintenance.
S: The Gathering is open to the public
for 5 days and there would be plenty of time for volunteers to take part
between work shifts
.Q: Ideally volunteers should have
a knowledge of English and might be called upon to help with language interpretation
for other foreign visitors during the Gathering. An interest in green lifestyles
and campaigns would be helpful.

children, musicians etc. will be an important part of the project.

Coventry Peace House was set up in
1999 as a resource and information centre for peace and the environment
in the city of Coventry. The Centre is involved in working with young
people to overcome social exclusion, supporting asylum seekers and refugees
and creating a sustainable, unpolluted, clean and safe future for everyone.
This year's project will work on renovating the peace centre buildings,
gardening and supporting refugees. There will be informal study
looking at the meaning of peace and refugee issues. Accommodation
will be at the Peace House in shared bedrooms - sleeping bags not necessary.
Leisure activities will include camp fires, making music, walking and use
of the city facilities. The Peace Centre would prefer it if volunteers
do not travel by air because of the environmental costs.

schemes in Bradford, West Yorkshire for 5 - 18 year olds who have
simple and complex learning/health needs. Volunteers will assist professional
staff in encouraging children and young people with disabilities and complex
health needs to participate in a wide variety of activities within sport
centres and youth clubs. Volunteers must have a reasonable
level of English and be individuals who are able to support children
and young people from diverse cultural backgrounds who have a range
of disabilities (learning difficulties and physical disabilities for example
some young people have no verbal communication) and health needs.
There will be one full days training on disability given prior to the schemes
starting, plus one evening during the first week. Accommodation:

The Tim Parry Jonathan Ball Young
Peoples Peace Centre opened in 2000 in response to the violent deaths of
two local children in Warrington in 1993. The Centre is committed
to helping young people find peace ways of dealing with conflict.
Volunteers will deliver Anti-bullying workshops to young people in their
final year of Primary School (aged 11) for their transition into Secondary
School Education, a time when many young people are vulnerable to bullying.
The emphasis of these workshops is to enable children to prevent themselves
becoming the victims of bullying, and to equip them with the practical
skills needed to ward of any potential bullies. A range of methodologies
will be used including a theatrical production by a professional
theatre company. Volunteers must speak good english and have the
confidence to run workshops for upto 30 participants at a time.
Training and ongoing support will be provided by the Peace Centre staff.
Study: Additional workshops on the nature of conflict and conflict resolution
giving an insight into the work of Children for Peace. Accommodation:
High standard at the Peace Centre. Visits to local places of interest
in and around Liverpool and social activities around the Peace Centre.

Volunteers will work at the Natural
Scotswood Community Garden, a community permaculture project in Newcastle.
Work will include building a house reminiscent of the Hobbit House in Lord
of the Rings, using natural materials such as straw bales and clay, working
with local children on various activities such as gardening, art and
craft work, preparations for the gardens summer festival which will
take place during the two weeks with music, dance, theatre. Accommodation
will be basic with some inside sleeping space and some tents.
Washing and kitchen facilities will be shared with other users of the garden's
office. Volunteers should enjoy working outside on an environmental
project and with children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Study on
permaculture (sustainable development), British wildflowers and conservation.

Volunteers will help build a landscaped
sensory garden in the grounds of a sheltered home for older people.
The workcamp is sponsored by the Derwentside local group of IVS-GB in partnership
with Age Concern, a national charity working for the benefit of older people,
Derwentside Volunteer Bureau and Acorn Trust, an environmental organisation
who will supervise the work. Acorn Trust have a programme called
Greenways to Better Health whose aim is to improve health through the environment
and awareness of the opportunities it offers. This will also be the
study theme of the workcamp. The accommodation will be
in Stanley, a small town just 15km from the historic city of Durham. Visits
to local places of interest in a beautiful area which is especially
good for walking.

Old Cockburn Crazy Golf Project,

Volunteers will work with local volunteers
from the Old Cockburn Youth Club to complete the construction of a miniature
crazy golf course in the grounds of Old Cockburn Sports Hall in Leeds,
West Yorkshire. Various theme based obstacles for the golf
course still need to be built, plus landscaping of the areas between each
feature. Recycled materials will be used and the course will aim
to reflect the themes of peace and justice. Informal study
on team building and team work, building skills, conservation issues and
local history. Accommodation: Dormatory style in the sports hall.
There will be visits to local attractions and places of interest with the
possibility of spending a weekend at a Youth Service Activity Centre on
the outskirts of Leeds. References required.

Ancient Woodlands, Derbyshire

Volunteers will be working with a
public/private partnership project in area of biological and archeological
importance to regenerate part of Englands National Forest.
The site forms part of a 500 acre woodland and conservation area. Volunteers
will be involved in restoring a derelict medieval fish pond in ancient
woodlands, developing an organic vegetable garden, and undertaking
woodland management tasks on the ancient woodland such as restoring the
woodlands hedge boundary and bringing the coppice woodland back into
management. There is evidence of saxon and medieval earthworks
at the site and opportunities to take part in archeological work will form
part of the study element of the project, as well as studying the design
and management of farm estates. Volunteers will need to be reasonably
fit. Accommodation in an old farm house just 2 km from the
historic stately home of Calke Abbey. The project is quite
remote, and social activities will take place around the local villages
and the estate.

This workcamp is sponsored by the
Elchanan Elkes Association for Inter Community Understanding in partnership
with Leicester Council of Faiths. Leicester is an exciting and culturally
diverse city. Volunteers will do practical work gardening in the
grounds of buildings of worship of different faiths; Mosques, Churches,
Synagogues, Buddhist and Hindu Temples, some painting and decorating,
and work on projects supporting community understanding. Volunteers need
to speak good English, have a range of practical skills and be well motivated
to understand and enjoy learning about different faiths and communities.
Volunteers will have a chance to learn about different faiths followed
in Leicester which will be the study element of the project. There will
also be an international interfaith night during the project. Accommodation:
in student flats in the city centre.

variety of projects intended to improve race relations and multicultural
understanding. Work will be helping local volunteers run a summer playscheme

Experience with children, sports, arts and crafts very useful. There will
be several days training at the start. The children can be lively and demanding.
This means you will need a lot of energy and enthusiasm. The accommodation
is very basic.

community in a rural setting close to Edinburgh. The community share
their work and lives together. Some of the residents have special
needs and other people with special needs come for daycare/activities.

the community is planning to help produce an opera to perform in the village.
This will be exciting for those musical/ theatrical at heart.

This is a water safety education
project for children. It aims to encourage safe use of an old canal as
a sport and leisure resource in a deprived area. Work will be running adventure
trail boat trips for groups of children from local playschemes, and involving
them in a variety of sporting activities on and around the canal. There
will also be sessions on environmental education. Good English and ability
to swim are essential. Experience with children, boats, water sports, life-saving,
arts and crafts all useful. There will be several days training at the
start. Accommodation is on a barge.

Fair Isle is a small, remote island,
famous for its spectacular cliffs and sea birds. The work will involve
various tasks to help the small community in their special way of life.
These may include weeding crops, drystone walling, fencing, cleaning out
drainage ditches, or maintenance of buildings. The islanders look forward
to the social side of the workcamp, and it is important that you are interested
in participating fully in this. Entertainment will be very much "do it
yourself". Musical skills would be much appreciated. Fair Isle is expensive
to get to (around £200 from London). Please check costs with a travel agent,
and do not apply unless you are sure you can afford it. . Accommodation
is in the Puffin Hostel.

Badaguish is a holiday centre for
groups of people with special needs in the heart of the beautiful Cairngorm
mountains, the main ski area in Britain. The centre itself is in the middle
of a pine forest, near a lake where there is a big water sports facility.
Volunteers will help with several tasks to improve the centre's amenities.
The camp will involve making rustic joinery, fencing, building a shelter
for vehicles, and improving the water supply. The camp will also involve
landscaping, land-management, eg. planting trees, re-seeding grass in
play areas. NB It is a fairly remote setting. You should be prepared for
making your own entertainment. The work will be quite hard, but there will
be some time for exploring the mountains and forests. Accommodation is
in a stone cottage with a log burning stove.

Work: To perform in a piece of children's
theatre that will be toured in and around Nottingham in the second week.
Volunteers will take part in acting, movement, physical theatre
and making music. We will explore different ways of presenting the play
and hope to incorporate some of the traditions and cultures the volunteers
bring with them.

Hall. Basic washing, and cooking facilities. Sleeping bags and roll mats
required.
Location: In Basford an area just
outside Nottingham which is in the North East Midlands. It is approx
2hs from London by train.

station. Allow between 1hr 40 minutes and 2hrs travel by train from these
airports to Nottingham. Travel times will longer if travelling by coach.

skills preferred. Volunteers that can play instruments are very welcome

Over the last two years the Peak
National Park Rangers have hosted this spring project and are keen
to work with international volunteers again this year.
Work: Volunteers will work alongside
local rangers helping with seasonal conservation tasks in the Country Park
and National Park which surround the farm. Tasks will include amongst others
woodland thinning, footpath creation construction of a bridge and pond
dipping platform.
Accommodation: In a converted barn
with 2 dormitories, shower and toilet facilities.
Location: Work will take place in
the Marshfarm Country Park situated on the edge of the Peak National Park.
The accommodation is situated by Tittesworth Reservoir and adjacent to
a nature reserve which is home to many interesting species of birds. There
is also a newly opened visitor centre nearby and a well-known hill climbing
spot known as the ‘Roachers’. There will be plenty of opportunity to explore
this beautiful area, do some rare bird watching and sample the local village
pubs. The nearest town is Leek which is approx. 4 km away.

This project is hosted by a local
Charity, Care Co-ops, who provide work opportunities people with learning
disabilities and mental health problems. Care Co-ops run a community farm
providing an opportunity for local people and community groups to learn
about and take part in organic gardening. The Farm invited an international
group to help them for the first time in 2001 and were so impressed they
are keen to host another group this summer!
Work: The international volunteers
will help out on the community farm doing a variety of tasks including
building plant beds, planting and weeding vegetables, rabbit fencing,
and much more. They will also help organise the Farms annual open day which
will coincide with the summer solstice celebrations. Lots of opportunity
to meet the locals!
Accommodation: In large army style
tents with an indoor area provided for social activities and
meal times in the offices nearby. Hot water and washing facilities
provided in the office block and showers a short walk away.
Location: Stanmer Park is a protected
area of natural beauty on the outskirts of Brighton on the South Coast
of England.

This is one of three volunteer opportunities
hosted by the Winged Fellowship Trust, a National Charity that provides
holidays for disabled people and breaks for carers. The Trust has five
Holiday Centres in the UK and relies on teams of highly motivated staff
and volunteers to provide care in a holiday environment.
Work: International volunteers will
work alongside qualified staff and UK based volunteers providing personal
and social care for disabled guests and assisting with outings and activities.
Accommodation: At the Jubilee Lodge
with all facilities provided. 2/3 bed rooms, no need to bring sleeping
bags. All meals provided by the Centre.
Location: Jubilee Lodge is a modern
and spacious centre situated in green and leafy Chigwell in Essex not far
from London.
Terminal: London airports. Buckhurst

Special Requirements: Volunteers
must be highly motivated, speak and understand English without difficulty
and be prepared to work very long hours (14 –16hrs) with one day
off per week. This project is not a traditional volunteer project. It is
an opportunity for young people interested in this area of work to get
some first hand experience and work as part of a large team of volunteers.
For the right applicants this project offers a very rewarding and worthwhile
two weeks, with an opportunity to do some local sightseeing and fun
activities with the Centre guests.

This ever popular environmental project
is hosted by the Peak National Park Ranger Service. International volunteers
have been supporting the rangers’ conservation work at the Park since
1996.
Work: International volunteers will
work alongside local volunteers and park rangers, helping to maintain
the public footpaths within the National Park both for local
people and for visitors to the area. Volunteers will undertake a variety
of tasks including creating a riverside woodland footpath and rebuilding
the banks of streams.
Accommodation: Brunts Barn Volunteer
Centre. Cooking/shower facilities and beds provided – bring sleeping bags
only.
Location: Derbyshire. The Peak National
Park became the first British National Park in 1951. It covers 1,438 square
kilometres over 6 different counties and is
surrounded by the great industrial towns of the North and Midlands. It
includes areas of outstanding natural beauty.

This project is hosted by the National
Trust and the group will consist of 5 National Trust volunteers and 5 Concordia
volunteers.
Work: Volunteers will carry out a
variety of conservation tasks including repairing woodland paths and preparing
a new tree nursery. You will also help to create a children’s
orienteering course or treasure hunt through the woods.
Accommodation: In the Dolaucothi
basecamp which is a converted coach house All facilities provided.
Location: Dolaucothi is situated
10 kilometres south east of Lampeter in the Cothi valley. The 1,1000 hectare
Dolaucothi Estate includes woodland, farms and cottages and is home to
the rare Red Kite and world famous goldmine.

The Trinity Youth and Community Centre
is a vibrant and active organisation that provides a
range of activities for the local community. Every year for the past 8
years the Trinity Centre has hosted a spring and summer play scheme for
up to 100 children aged 5-14 years old. The play scheme
provides a safe play space for local children from different ethnic backgrounds
many of whom may not have a play area in their home environments. The scheme
also provides childcare for working parents. Over the last three years
international volunteers have helped support the play schemes.
Work: The international volunteers
will work together with youth workers and local volunteers to provide the
play scheme activities which will range from sports to crafts and computing.
Volunteers will also accompany and supervise children on trips to various
leisure and educational venues in London. Hours will be fairly long and
the work tiring but very rewarding for the right people.
Accommodation: At the Centre itself
with all facilities. Sleeping bags required, camp beds are provided. No
smoking, alcohol or drugs are allowed in the Trinity Centre.
Location: In Plumstead South East
London, not far from Greenwich.

This project is a well established
one run in conjunction with the National Trust. The group will consist
of 5 National Trust volunteers and 5 Concordia volunteers.
Work: Volunteers will carry out a
variety of conservation tasks including footpath
repair and maintenance work in the
mountains of the Carneddau and laurel/rhododendron control, planting and
footpath work in the parklands and gardens of Penhryn Castle. The
work on Carneddau involves a steep uphill 45 minute walk to the worksite
so volunteers must be fit and prepared for this.

actually an isolated cottage in the heart of the Carneddau mountains.
Location: The Carneddau Estate has
10 peaks over 3,000 feet high, and presents some of the best scenery in
Snowdonia so projects here are ideal for those who love hill walking. Penhryn
Castle situated on the outskirts of Bangor is a stunning neo-Norman
fantasy. The work-sites on this project are very exposed so volunteers
must come prepared (good waterproofs/work wear) to work in all weather.

This new project is a great opportunity
to share in the longstanding success of the Leicester Children’s Holiday
Centre schemes for underprivileged children. Each year the centre enables
up to 500 children aged 7-11yrs from inner city areas to spend two
weeks enjoying an activity filled summer holiday by the sea.
Work: The international volunteers
will support work of the paid staff at the Centre. Work will involve supervising
indoor and outdoor activities such as sports, games and drama and generally
helping the children enjoy their summer holiday.
Accommodation: In a room in one of
the buildings on site. All facilities provided. Meals will be provided
by catering staff.
Location: The centre is situated
in the sand hills of Mablethorpe, a typical North Eastern seaside
town on the Lincolnshire coast complete with fun fairs, amusement arcades
and lots more.

This is a new project in co-operation
with the Youth Hostel Association (YHA).
Following the success of last year’s
Bretton project the YHA are keen for an international group to help with
conservation work in the grounds of another hostel.
Work: Volunteers will construct a
nature trail complete with information plaques and signs so that visitors
can enjoy the hostels beautiful surrounds. Tasks will include clearance
of shrubs and the construction of steps and a hand rail.
Accommodation: In a building adjoining
the hostel at Welsh Bicknor. All facilities provided.
No need to bring sleeping bags or roll mats.
Location: Situated on the banks of
the river Wye not far from Ross on Wye, the hostel at Welsh Bicknor is
a converted Victorian Rectory with magnificent views across the Forest
of Dean and Symonds Yat.

The Shakespeare Hall Young People's
Centre annually hosts a popular low cost two week playscheme for 4-14 year
olds from an area with a high rate of social exclusion. Since 1994 international
volunteers have played an important role in helping local volunteers and
youth workers run the scheme.
Work: Volunteers will help support
this playscheme for up to 200 children. Tasks will involve supervising
the children doing indoor activities (arts, crafts and games) and outdoor
sports events and excursions. Volunteers will also help daily preparation
for and clearing up after the scheme.
Accommodation: Shakespeare hall.

Location: Newhaven is a thriving
port town on the South coast not far from the beautiful Seven

For the first time Concordia will
work in co-operation with Pestalozzi International village. Founded
in 1957, Pestalozzi contributes to the education of able young people aged
16-20 from low income families in Africa and Asia. The students live together
in the village and study for a two-year international Baccalaureate Diploma
and share their cultures and experience with the local community.
Work: The volunteers will undertake
renovation works around the village including painting and decorating the
interior and exterior of buildings. There may also be some gardening work
in the grounds of the international village.
Accommodation: In twin bedded rooms
on site, all facilities provided. Main meals will be taken in the canteen
with the resident students.
Location: Pestalozzi is situated
in East Sussex on an isolated hilly but beautiful site 8 km inland from
the coastal resort of Hastings. The site is surrounded by the scenic South
Downs and the historic town of Battle is nearby.

This project was hosted for the first
time in 2001 by the Youth Hostel Association (YHA). An international volunteer
group worked alongside YHA volunteers to undertake the first stages
of a long term conservation plan for the land around the hostel at Bretton.
The results were so impressive that the YHA are very keen to invite another
international group to continue the work this summer.
Work: Volunteers will continue the
general conservation work in the area in the grounds of the hostel undertaking
tasks such as fencing, drystone walling and tree planting. The hostel is
on a very exposed site and the aim of the conservation plan is to rebuild
the traditional walls and grow trees that will ultimately provide protection
for the hostel and encourage the growth of small plants and shrubs.
Accommodation: In the youth hostel
at Bretton. All facilities provided.
Location: Bretton is situated high
up in the Derbyshire Hills on a wild and windy but beautiful site. It is
close to the tragic plague village of village of Eyam. Nearby are the larger
towns of Matlock and Bakewell. Volunteers must be prepared to live in quite
an isolated area with only the local village pubs and great outdoors for
company!

Some time will be spent in the Afan Valley working with members of a community
environmental group and local school pupils to improve access on a path
along the river Afan. Volunteers should be prepared for physical work outdoors
in rain, wind, sun and mud. A: The group will be based at the Cross Community
Centre in the centre of Pontardawe. The centre has a kitchen camp beds
and bathrooms; showers are provided at the swimming pool nearby.

The Eisteddfod is a traditional Welsh
arts festival which involves performance of song, dance and poetry. International
volunteers help performers and visitors find their way around the site.
The work is not especially demanding or rewarding; this is not like any
other workcamp and volunteers should not expect a conventional International
Volunteer Project but it is a great way to enjoy the festival. A: The volunteers
will stay in a house near the festival site, hosted by a local family.
Meals are provided on the festival site which means the group does not
share the common activity of cooking together.

that volunteers have the energy and motivation for this type of work and
that they are able to communicate well in English. The first days will

Penryhs is an isolated housing estate which has suffered various social
problems. A: The group will be based in the community centre where the
playscheme is also based. It is a big building in the centre of Penrhys

A group of people from Trealaw organise
a summer playscheme, offering children activities in their summer holidays
at Maes Yr Haf community centre. Activities such as games, art, craft and

to assist the staff and help to make sure that the children are safe and
have lots of activities to enjoy. It is important that volunteers can communicate
well in English and have the motivation and energy for working with children.

the group will be together with another group at a community centre nearby

Summer Festival, working with artists and youth workers to prepare materials

will be expected to work six hours a day. This is an environmental project
so obviously work will be outside, possibly in rain and cold weather. A:

to help regenerate a rural area after the loss of the mining industry.
They now attract visitors for canoeing, fishing and walking. Volunteers

are to encouraged to stay for UNA19 as well. A: The group will stay in
a building next to the lakes. They will not cook for themselves but will

This is the first Welsh Green Gathering:
a festival showcasing ‘alternative’ technology, highlighting green issues
and the need for sustainable living. There will be speakers, crafts, a
Green Market, entertainment and much more. The whole site will be an example
of green living with all power from sustainable sources and lots of vegetarian
food. International volunteers are invited to join the large team of volunteers
who will help set up the site and assist with the organisation during the
festival. Volunteers will act as stewards helping the public and offering
visitors information. It is important that volunteers have a good level
of spoken English and are confident to talk to people. Work will be in
shifts and the group will not necessarily have free time all together.
This will not be like a traditional workcamp and there may not be much
time to explore the area, however this is a great chance to experience
the Green Gathering and enjoy the festival from the inside. A: Volunteers

of the few woodlands in the Rhondda valleys. Volunteers will work on practical
environmental tasks, in the reserve including making a wildlife pond for
educational use. Other tasks may include working on footpaths and in the
woodland to improve the facilities for visitors and allow people to enjoy
exploring the reserve. International volunteers will work together with
local volunteers and young people. It is important that volunteers are
prepared for work outdoors which will probably be muddy and wet, possibly

Snowdonia is one of the eleven National
Parks of England and Wales and the second largest National Park in the
country. The project host, the National Park Authority, is responsible
for conserving the park’s environment and promoting it to the public. Volunteers

Cymmer and Cregan River Care is a
group that aims to improve local rivers by volunteering on clean ups and
work to create access to the river. Volunteers will work on the outskirts
of the village of Cymmer which is in the Afan Valley. The aim is to create
a footpath through the woodland along the river, and also to help manage
the coppice by thinning out trees. Volunteers will work together with local
volunteers, they should be prepared for physical work outdoors in rain,
wind and mud. A: The group will be based at the Cross Community Centre
in the middle of Pontardawe. Showers are available at the swimming pool
nearby. R: Strong waterproof work boots.

Several sites in Carmarthenshire
county need help from volunteers so they are suitable for visitors and
tourists, and also so the habitats are maintained. Volunteers will work
alongside the County Council’s Countryside Unit as well as professional
contractors at various country parks and on footpaths. Work will be physical,
outdoors and may continue in unpleasant weather –rain, wind, cold- so you
may get tired and dirty! Each working day is usually from 09.00 until 17.00
and you should be prepared to work hard. A: The group will be based in
a large community building in the small village of Meinciau just south
of Carmarthen. All the necessary facilities are provided in the building:
showers, bathrooms, kitchen, air beds, washing machine and large communal
room.

The Othona Community was founded in 1946. It is a residential centre for people of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds to seek a common understanding in the cause of peace. Othona has welcomed YAP volunteers since the early 1970's.
Othona is a non-dogmatic Christian
Community founded next to one of the oldest churches in the UK (650AD).
It fully involves non-Christians. It is an experimental community where
work, play, drama, art and study are combined. It is situated on the east
coast of Essex, next to a native reserve. It is 5 Km from the nearest village.
Volunteers will be fully integrated in the life of the community with 4
other international volunteers working in the centre. The work will consist
in renovation work, gardening and will take a full part in the cooking
and domestic duties of the community. At the time there will be week-long
courses on home improvements, watercolour painting, music making and refugee
issues for the guests at the centre. Please include motivation letter with

Stanley is a small former industrial town in the north east of England (near Newcastle). The Stanley Youth Centre is an organisation that provides social education and recreational activity for local young people. The Stanley Playscheme Committee provides summer holiday activities for 130 children aged 5 to 12 years and offers opportunities for young volunteers (half local and international ) for intercultural learning.
2 weeks of indoor and outdoor activities
including art and craft, music, drama, sports, games, excursions, etc.
Volunteers should be able to work as a member of a team. They will help
organise a daily programme and encourage participation in a wide range
of activities. They need to come well prepared to share their own childhood
experience through games, music and activities reflecting their childhood
culture. Volunteers should be motivated for the work and able to work on
their own initiative an a challenging work environment.
