CAM VFP 01 CAMBODIA
5 AUG – 25 AUG KIDS/AGR/MAN/TEACH 5 VOLS
L: Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This workcamp
will take place at the Peaceful Children’s Home for orphan and street children
at Cheuteal Commune, Kien Svay District in Kandal Province some 30 km south
of Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. The location is in the countryside
with many rice fields. W: To help teach English to the orphans and the
village’s children, and math and science, farm work and gardening. Work
projects may change. S&R: Free time can be spent with local people
and exploring the area and culture. A: Vols will live at the orphanage,
helping the cooks with meals, and using the toilets and shower room at
the orphanage. T: Phnom Penh. Vols will be picked up in the orphanage
van at an appointed time. F: There is an ADDITIONAL FEE OF $200US payable
upon arrival at the orphanage.
CAM VFP 02 CAMBODIA
5 AUG – 25 AUG KIDS/AGR/MAN/TEACH
5 VOLS
L: Battambang, Cambodia. This workcamp
will take place at the Peaceful Children’s Home II in O’Dambang II Village,
O’Dambang Commune, Sangker District which is about 10Km from the city of
Battambang. W: Teaching of English, math, physics and chemistry for grades
9-12. Painting of ironwork and household reparations, agricultural activities,
possible construction work. Skills desired in agriculture, mechanics, electrical.
Work projects may change. S&R: Free time can be spent with local people
and exploring the area and culture. A: Vols will live in the main building
in one large room with shared toilet facilities. T: Battambang. Vols will
be picked up by the orphanage truck at an appointed time. F: There is an
ADDITIONAL FEE OF $200US payable upon arrival at the orphanage.
