A 5.1 Franz-Staufer-Hof 30/06-20/07 5 vols
The Franz-Staufer-Hof
is a project of SOS-Kinderdorf for kids from 15 to 18. At the moment 8
young people are there and get prepared for living on their own. The Franz-Staufer-Hof
is a biodynamic farm where the kids can gain some skills in farm work,
houshold work and processing wood or metal. Important are as well:
socal learning,
group experience, learning problems depending on the needs and skills of
the youngsters.
W: Mostly farm
work like berry harvest, hay making, producing sheep wool, harvesting herbs,
animal care.
S: Depending
on the interest of the volunteers, information about the different fields
of work on the project, also biodynamic farming

in dormitory, sleepingbag needed.

A 5.2 Waldorf
school I July 10 vols
A group of
people founded a Waldorf school and Kindergarten according to the principles
of Rudolf Steiner. This camp has been running for many years now. Every
summer a new part of the building was renovated. With the help of the SCI-volunteers
the school is getting more and more beautiful.

A 5.3 Waldorfschool

A group of
people founded a Waldorf school and Kindergarten according to the principles
of Rudolf Steiner. This camp has been running for many years now. Every
summer a new part of the building was renovated. With the help of the SCI-volunteers
the school is getting more and more beautiful.

A 7.1 Women`s
Camp 01/07-30/07 6 vols (only women)
The "Frauenhetz"
is an association for feminist culture, information, education. Itґs a
platform for feminist discussions, events, and an office-community for
woman-specific groups (such as a feminist magazine, info for sexually abused
mentally handicapped women, ...)
W: The volunteers
are asked to help with the construction of an entrance and toilet suitable
also for wheelchairs. Walls will be removed, rebuild, painted. Various
kinds of renovation work will be done.
S: The volunteers
will learn about the aims and the work of the different groups, who share
the rooms of the "Frauenhetz".

will be split up and be accomodated together with women, working in the
association (in their apartments in Vienna).

PM01 – YOUTH, STONE & WINE Stainz bei Straden 15/07 – 5/08 International DISA/RENO 15 volunteers
WORK: Volunteers
will work with the local community and involve physically and mentally
disabled people in building a hikerway with stations focused on geology
and its utilization. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to join
music workshops and concerts.

PM02 – YOUTH,
ARCHEOLOGY & ART Straden 12/08 – 03/09 International DISA/ARCH

WORK: Volunteers
will work with the local community and involve physically and mentally
disabled people on the exploratory dig near the church and other places.
Volunteers will also have the opportunity to join workshops(music, sculpture,
painting, theatre) and take part in the organisation of a big festival
(5 stages)

PM03 – ARTE
DIEM STRADEN Straden 12/08 – 03/09 International ARTS/DISA

WORK: Arte
Diem is the outcome of a similar event, which took place in the summers
of 1996, 2000 and 2001 in Belgium, Hungary and Romania. The participants
will learn about the dangers of neo-liberalism and growing Racism and the
links between these two phenomena. Following this theme, they will work
with the local community and alongside physically and mentally disabled
people, painting banners and creating sculptures which will be used during
the “Stradner Strassen Spektakel”, a festival which is one of the most
famous cultural happenings in Styria. During the afternoons, the participants
will have the opportunity to join workshops (music, literature, theatre)
and take part in the organisation of an important festival (5 stages).
Possibly the results of these workshops can also be shown during the festival.
In the evenings further discussions will take place about the theme.
