WORK: The holiday
centre of Sidi Fredj hosts around 2000 Algerian children in July and August
every year. The centre is located in a secure area as there is one of the
houses of the president nearby. Volunteers will be involved in clearance
work in the wooded spaces and they will build some small stone walls alongside
the fitness trail. Obviously they will also be in close contact with the
children of the centre.
ACCOMMODATION:
In small houses of the centre, with all facilities at disposal.
LOCATION: Sidi
Fredj is about 10 km from Algiers.
TERMINAL: Volunteers
will be picked up in Boumediene airport in Algiers then taken to the centre.
An orientation meeting will be held on arrival.
